Apple Plans to Open Four New Stores in India Amid Record Revenues

Apple CEO Tim Cook has announced plans to open four new Apple Stores in India.

This comes alongside the company’s record-breaking revenues for the third quarter of 2024. At present, Apple has two official stores in India: one in BKC Mumbai and another in DLF Saket, New Delhi.Cook mentioned during the earnings call, “We also opened two new stores during the quarter, and we can’t wait to bring four new stores to customers in India.”

The company reported significant growth in iPhone sales across all regions. India showed particularly strong performance.

Cook stated, “The iPhone grew in every geographic segment, marking a new September quarter revenue record for the category, and services set an all-time revenue record, up 12 per cent year-over-year.”

iPad revenues also saw an increase. This contributed to overall growth. Luca Maestri, Apple’s CFO, noted that “iPad generated $7 billion in revenue, up 8 per cent year-over-year.”

He highlighted strong performance in emerging markets, including India.

While specific locations for the new stores have yet to be announced,
